The Effects of Global Warming

Global Warming is effecting us in more ways than one. For one, the one most people know off is that our Earth, in fact is getting hotter. Worldwide, temperatures are increasing in heat and intensity. Other than hotter temperatures our sea levels are rising and natural disasters are being to worsen. In fact, hurricane formations will change causing hurricanes to become more destructive and intense. This is only one example out of hundreds of natural disasters. Due to the changing temperature of the Earth, Earth’s icebergs and icecaps are beginning to melt causing sea levels to rise. The rising sea levels are beginning to cover more of the land we can’t afford to lose due to overpopulation.

What Causes Global Warming

Global Warming is caused by many things such as; pollution, permafrost, forest fires, landfills, sunspots, deforestation, fossil fuels, and of course overpopulation. First of all, forest fires and deforestation go hand in hand when sending carbon dioxide into Earth’s atmosphere. Forest Fires create a lot of carbon dioxide which goes into the damage of earth. Then overpopulation causes deforestation to create more houses and buildings leading to a decrease of trees. Trees provide oxygen for us. Forest fires, overpopulation, and deforestation takes away most of the trees and the opportunity of cleaner oxygen along with it.Landfills create such large amount of carbon dioxide it could equal to thousands of forest fires. Most of the examples listed are caused by us. We need to take responsibility and make a change. A change for the better.

What Global Warming Means To Us

Although people don’t realize it, Global warming can mean horrible things for us. There is potential toxic waste in the future, and an earth far from saving. By the way things are going, our extinction is possible. The end of days. The outcome of Global warming is terrifying to think about. The ocean will turn orange and filled with dead carcasses of animals along with all the plastic that has developed over the years. This can happen, but that doesn’t mean it needs to. We still have time before it’s too late. We can begin to replant trees, clean the oceans, use less fossil fuels, clean up our home and restore the earth to a stable state. Here are a few ways to help out: 1. Try to use your car less. The emissions are terrible for the atmosphere. 2. Plant trees. Every minute thousands of trees are being cut down and news aren’t being replaced. Leaving us with less clean air and trees reduce the most global warming then any other method so far. 3. Replace regular lightbulbs with Compact fluorescent lights. They use less energy and can be used longer. These are just a few minor examples of ways we can at least participate in saving the earth.

About

  • 18th and 19th Century

    The Beginning of a Problem

Most Scientists believe global warming started during the Idustrial Revolution which was between the 18th and 19th century due to the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere.

  • 1906-2005

    Changing Temperatures

In the span of 100 years (1906-2005) the GAT (Global Average Temperature) rose by 0.74 degrees celsius. Since 1906 to today the surface temperature has increased by 1.6 degrees fahrenheit (possibly more).

  • 2019

    Damage Caused By Global Warming

Globally this year over 171 million ton of ice has melted. This number is changing every mintue too. This melting ice has caused our sea levels rise decreasing the amount of land to live on.

  • What We are Doing About Global Warming

Scientists are developing new ways to modernize powerplants, generate cleaner electricity, and burn a small amount of gasoline when we drive. Citizens are holding clean up crews to clean the beaches and others are spreading the word of how harmful the Global Warming situation has become.
