We are Uma, Ashley, Verona, and Talia. We were thinking of a community we were all part of and problems that the community faced and we chose the woman community. We chose that community because we are all girls and we can all relate to problems that the community faces. Some of the problems were Women being underrepresented in the work place and people who lack proper SexEd making decisions of our bodies, and we thought by making a discussion board, blog, and explaining how SexEd is important, and putting a few charities that you can donate to, would help our cause, bring awarness, and make a better future.
I’m Uma Vadali and I’m 13 years old, I’m going into 8th grade, and I’ve grown up in Chicago. In my free time I play saxophone and field hockey. This is my second BraveCamp and last year I made a website on mental health and this year I wanted to do something similar. Me and my teammates were inspired by this cause so we decided to make a website to support the cause and to educate people on our topic of Women’s Health and empowering women.
