Savannah


Savannah Knupp has lived in Chicago, IL for her whole life. She was born February 5, 2004 to her parents, Debbie and Jason. She has two younger sisters, Sydney, her biological sister, and Keaira, her adopted sister. She also has a 1-year-old Shi Tzu Yorkie, Emmitt. Her and her family have lived in the South Loop since she was 2 years old. She has danced since she was 2 or 3 and loves math at school. She hopes to be a professional dancer when she grows up and/or a mechanical engineer.



Skylar


Skylar Wright was born in Chicago and has lived here for her entire life. She was born December 29th, 2003 to her parents Sandra and Steve. She only has one sibling, Sofia Wright. She lives in the Irving Park neighborhood with her mom, dad, sister, and grandmother ever since she was born. She has a dog named Lola, whom she loves very much. She has loved singing and writing stories for as long as she could remember and it is one of her biggest passions. She hopes to either achieve a degree in computer science and work in Silicon Valley, CA, write her own novels and books, or publish her own albums as a pop, alternative, rock, or any kind of other artist.


Shamsiye


Shamsiye Niazi was born in Afghanistan on June 15th, 2002. She has lived in Chicago, IL for about two and a half years. She enjoys watching movies, talking to her friends, hanging out with her best friend Mahla, shopping, and playing basketball.



Elise


Elise Koch was born June 16, 2004, and has lived her entire life in Chicago. She lives with her parents, Jeff and Angela, her 6 other siblings, and 8 fish. She is homeschooled, but hopes to get into Jones College Prep. She enjoys writing, reading, sewing, and baking.



Mahla


Mahla Ataei was born in Iran on January 1st, 2004. She has lived in Chicago, IL for 9 months with her family. She loves to play tennis and loves to hang out with her best friend, Shamsiye.



Bricks that Build the Social Wall


In society, there is a wall that we have created through hatred and anger towards each other. The great social wall, is the wall that seperates us from our peers and people we think are different than us. The only way we will be able to break it down, is together as a community and as equals.
